The following interview was done on Much, Iris, and Savior after helping their team win their first Pro League 08-09 match against Air Force ACE.
How do you feel having your first win coming by way of a 3-0 victory?
Iris: I think it’s best to ask our head coach^^. To be honest people asked us why we were practicing so hard against the Ace team. We felt it was important to have a great start, and the very first game could very well set the pace for rest of the games.
Much: watching Iris win so easily pressured me to do the same. Anyhow I’m just happy to have a win.
Savior: We have a clean start, and because of it we are in good spirits, hopefully we can maintain this kind of atmosphere throughout the season.
After your active vultures you maintained the advantage to take the game relatively easy
Iris: There was a lot of mind game going on. After the game I was proud of my game play and when I returned to my bench the Terran users on the team made fun of me by saying he chose his build without knowing any better, not because of my great mind play.^^
Your play was quite effective
Much: I was under a great pressure. Before Rage joined the Air Force I used to lose to him often during practice, so naturally I was scared a little, but fortunately my flanks worked well against him.
It seemed your zerglings penetrating the main base played a big part in the game
Savior: I thought I had the win even before that, I practiced very hard, I prepared against any and all strategies. It’s been awhile since I’ve prepared this well before going into a game. Every situation was in my head so I knew I would win from the very beginning.
You asked the head coach to be in the lineup
Iris: I always ask him to place me in the lineups including the closer game. He told me that the very first game sets the pace for everyone else. I am more comfortable playing first rather than the closer games.
You must have big goals for this season
Savior: For sure it’s different than other previous seasons. But I won’t make a statement just yet, but rather show you with my games, and actions. Fortunately I was able to win for the fans. Other team’s better put their guards up.
Your goals for this season
Iris: It is so competitive it’s hard for me to say exactly how many wins I will have. My first goal is to play as much as Flash in the league. The important thing is to be in the lineups so that is my immediate goal for now.
Much: I hope we will do well enough to take the title. I haven’t thought of it all that much really. I just want the team to win and naturally things will fall in place.
Savior: I want to have more wins than Lee Jae Dong. Right now he is the best Zerg user, so I decided to have him as my role model.
Any last words?
Iris: I want to say something to Jang Yuk (former CJ member) after the army discharge I hope he is in a good disposition. Everybody goes to the army stop acting like you’ve lived it all.
Much: Jang Yuk goes to the army tomorrow. I really liked him, hopefully when he gets a vacation we can have a drink together.
Savior: I want to thank our teammates for practicing with me, Miso_lt, Kwanro, and Effort. Many of my teammates helped me to practice, but I want to give thanks to those three players.
