Pusan interview after winning the ace match vs.
-Published 10/7/2008 12:40:00 AM

It¡¯s been a long time since you¡¯ve won in a `closer` game

- When we were up 2:0 I didn¡¯t think I would end up playing, I didn¡¯t think I would have the one win today. I¡¯m trying to enforce a new nickname at the training center, `special fireman`, and what do you know, it quickly became 2:2 tie. My teammates asked me to take out the fire so I did. From now on please call me the `special fireman`. It doesn¡¯t matter who, I will win them all. I will have at least 30 wins on the closer games if given the opportunity.

You¡¯ve been in a slump, it must be hard on you

- During the b-season, I have been attending many event games, I lost most of them. So naturally I was a bit nervous today even though I was well prepared.

How did you prepare yourself during the b-season?

- There were some mental issues I had to deal with. Wishing very much to win and yet no matter how well the practice goes I end up losing on TV often. I thought to myself maybe I need to be a pro gamer for 10 years to fix my problems. I try to control my mind by constantly saying to myself I have to win in TV games, and losing during practice doesn¡¯t really matter.

Do you have good premonitions for this season?

- We have a good start so overall I do feel good about it; however two seasons ago I lost to Stork on the very first game into the season and yet ended up having a very good season. So I thought to myself today that even if I lose I will have a great season, I¡¯m trying to stay positive^^

You did an emotional ceremony today

- I was so happy, I just wanted to run and run. My legs are not feeling well these days and yet when I landed I didn¡¯t feel a thing.

This season¡¯s resolution

- I¡¯ll try to be modest. I have made a goal for myself that I will win all my games. Now that I¡¯m a veteran gamer I need to help out the younger gamers a lot. I really want to become a proper `special fireman`. Just like that Japanese baseball player Im Chang Yong who always finishes well.

Any last words?

- I will be in the lineups every game and win them all, but I didn¡¯t put on a good show for you in the top 36 Star League. In the Pro League I will show you my true self.
