Frozean interview after his MSL group C victory
-Published 9/28/2008 11:19:00 PM

The following was an interview done on Frozean after he won his MSL match to make it into the top 16

How do you feel?

- I¡¯m delighted to make it in to my very first MSL top 16.

How do you feel to have 2 consecutive wins for the top 16?

- My opponent will be the veteran Nada so I¡¯m going to have to prepare very well against him.

In the 2nd game Upmagic tried a proxy barrack

- When I saw the scv come into my base I predicted his build. I went for a fast gas which could have hurt me, but Upmagic wasn¡¯t very aggressive which allowed me to have a winning opportunity.

The game against Lee Jae Dong was a shut out game

- In the previous game against go.go, I saw him lose and said to myself `I will not lose like him` and contemplated on the game against Lee Jae Dong. Lee Jae Dong had to kill all of my bionic units with his mutalisk micro tasking in order to win, so I heavily concentrated on my marine controls.

It seems you¡¯ve practiced very hard during the b-season

- Even though the game doesn¡¯t go the way I had planned, I¡¯ve figured out a way to come back from disadvantageous moments. This allowed me to play against good players on equal terms; this has been a big boost in my confidence. Our team is the best in the pro league so I think if I do well in the team rankings I should do well matched against all the pro gamers.

You play against Nada in the top 16

- First of all he is an experienced player, so I think he will be able to predict my builds well which means I have to practice that much more for it. I¡¯m planning on digging into the old VOD archives to analyze all of his games.

Your resolution for this season

- My goal is to show you all what kind of pro gamer Kim Dong Gun really is.

Anything to add?

- A practice partner in my team told me that I will lose to Lee Jae Dong and drop out of the race to the survivor league. Lee Jae Dong will place 1st, and go.go will place 2nd is what he predicted. Despite his bad predictions when I go back to the training center I will treat him well^^.

I get tired of people who don't think frozean is a good player. He's been very consistent this last year and I think his win in this group shows that. I also think he is probably the favorite against Nada in Ro16.

Haha I can't believe a practice partner gave him such bad predictions! It's impressive every time someone is able to beat Jae Dong though, so congrats Frozean!
